The visual arts program provides students with opportunities to use a variety of media, to gain familiarity with the elements and principles of design, and to create artworks that serve a variety of purposes. In addition to making art, we will discover interesting artists, and art movements. Studio activities will focus on critical thinking skills and problem solving. During these activities, student’s discussions, participation, understanding, behavior and performances will be evaluated. The course activities are designed to meet outcomes set forth by the Cecil County Board of Education.
